Lin Lin Aung, a 15-year-old girl, was malnourished and struggled to walk when she came to a children’s home that Venture partners with.
She and her many siblings had lived in a military conflict zone in Myanmar. Her stepmother was killed by a landmine, and her father could not provide enough food for Lin Lin Aung and her siblings.
Her father sent Lin Lin Aung to a kids’ home for the sake of her future. There, she could be safe from military conflict and receive an education. Venture partners with this home to provide nutritious meals to children like Lin Lin Aung who are displaced by the military conflict.
After four months of eating nutritious meals that Venture distributes, Lin Lin Aung is now smiling, much healthier, and able to walk easily.
